Johann Lafer’s Summer Chef’s Table
Wine and dine in an intimate atmosphere close to nature: in the Stromburg herb garden!
In the romantic ruins of the old castle we grow the kitchen herbs that are used to flavour the dishes served in the Stromburg restaurants. For a unique experience two people – or a larger group of up to twelve – can dine at Johann Lafer’s Chef’s Table in the shade of the castle ruins, surrounded by beds of the organic herbs that form the focus of your meal.
At your feet you will find thyme, lemon balm, peppermint and rosemary. You will be able to smell and taste the subtle differences between one type of dill and another, different varieties of parsley, melissa and chervil. Our service team will serve you eight courses – each composition centred on a particular herb. And everything you taste will have been grown here in the purest soil.
